About This Spot
Stepping into the Rusty Tractor Restaurant in Elma feels a bit like settling into a lived-in favorite spot where familiar faces and comforting meals form the heart of the experience. The pace is easygoing, a welcoming rhythm that gently invites you to pause and take in the friendly chatter and warm lighting that fills the room. This is a place where the local community gathers — whether for a hearty breakfast before a busy day or casual drinks shared over stories that stretch long into the evening.
The atmosphere carries a genuine, small-town charm that wraps around you, a blend of rustic touches and well-cared-for details that feel both unpretentious and thoughtfully curated. You might notice the vibrant blooms outside, lovingly tended by someone who clearly cares about the little extras that make a place feel like home. Inside, the buzz of the bar sits comfortably alongside the clink of coffee cups and the easy hum of conversation.
The menu mirrors this balance of familiar warmth and satisfying variety. Whether you’re drawn in by a cowboy omelet to fuel your morning, a perfectly crafted burger that feels like a midday reward, or one of the rich, nostalgic comforts like meatloaf or chicken fried steak, the food feels attentive to both tradition and taste. Sharing a plate of beer cheese pretzel bites or savoring the textures of a well-made waffle alongside crispy bacon speaks to the heart of this family-friendly spot’s appealing approach to dining.
Here, visitors find a space that supports many kinds of moments — from grabbing breakfast with the kids before a tournament to lingering over an old-fashioned Belgian waffle with a steaming cup of coffee. The service can reflect the humanity of the day, sometimes perfectly upbeat and other times a little quieter, but always part of this lived-in, authentic atmosphere that keeps people coming back.
In every visit, the Rusty Tractor feels like an invitation to belong, to taste the layers of community life, and to enjoy the quiet celebrations found in simple, honest food and the shared moments it inspires.

The food and atmosphere were pretty good but the waitress seemed to be having an off day and wasn't very friendly!

Excellent restaurant, it had awesome service reasonable and prices. You can choose from a more economic meal or a fancier meal that costs a little more. I like the range that you could decide from the help was very friendly. It had a small town feel to it. The décor is amazing in the atmosphere is very inviting. I will definitely be going there again

Met my little sister for a late afternoon meal. My husband ordered the Reuben sandwich with broccoli cheddar soup and I got a turkey hot sandwich ( "Kentucky Jack") which had ingredients of turkey , Swiss cheese, tomato, and bacon on grilled sourdough with onion rings. Both sandwiches were pretty tasty but my husband found the soup not to his liking. (He said it just had a strange taste to him and tasted like it "came from a can". Other people might like it, so I'll just leave it at that). The onion rings were great and came to the table unsalted so I could salt myself ( watching my sodium or trying...) Overall, pretty decent meals.

Rusty tractor is a good to place for good food, good drinks and a good time. Awesome bar for drinks and pull tabs, perfect place for breakfast and bloody marrys. My kids wrestle a tournament at Elma high-school every year and we always stop at the Rusty tractor before the drive home.

Everything was excellent! Great waitress - Kyleigh, service, well maintained restaurant, the food was amazing. The outside flowers were some of the nicest I have ever seen. Apparently they are planted and maintained by their handyman. Love it! One of the best restaurants I have seen in my many travels.

We stopped here on our way through the area. We had eggs Benedict and breakfast burrito to go. We would like to have eaten in the restaurant but could not because we were traveling with our small dog. Food and service were great. Prices reasonable. The only reason for 4 stars on atmosphere is that we would have given 5 stars if our pet could be accommodated.

My family and I stopped here after my daughter’s basketball tournament, and I am glad we did! This place should not have one or two star reviews. Excellent server, that knew how to charm. Oh, and the food was more than amazing! If you are an onion ring eater I recommend getting them as well as the wings. They were very busy when arrived but instantly let us know. We will be back again for sure!

The #10 country fried steak and gravy burrito is amazing!!!! The coffee is great...not acidic. The server is slammed, but seams to get time to refill our drinks and check up on us. Couldn't ask for a better experience.
